Memory Engine

Your AI sessions, written down on your own computer.

Memory Engine is a program that reads your conversations with AI assistants (Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Claude Cowork, Cursor and Gemini), writes down what is worth keeping, and keeps a searchable map of it all. The notes are plain Markdown files in a folder you own.

What it does

• Writes each session down as a dated note: what was done, what was decided, what was rejected and what is still open.
• Keeps a map of the people, projects and terms in your notes, with the connections between them.
• Shows a dashboard on your computer: what moved this week, what is past its date, what waits for your decision.
• Searches in English and in Arabic.
• Hides the passwords and keys it recognizes before any session text is sent to your AI tool.

Where your data lives

Your notes, search index and settings stay on your computer. We keep no copy. Some text does leave it: session text goes to the AI tool you already use, and the program checks a license and looks for updates on servers we run. The privacy policy lists every case.

How Memory Engine uses Google Calendar

Memory Engine can show your calendar next to your notes, so the dashboard knows what your week looks like. It can also create or move an event when you ask it to. This is optional and off until you press Connect with Google.

Connect with Google opens Google's own sign-in window. Memory Engine asks for two permissions: to view and edit events on your calendars, and to see the list of calendars you are subscribed to. It uses the first to show your schedule and to create or move the events you ask for, and the second so you can choose which calendars to show. It uses them for nothing else.

Your events go between Google and your computer. They do not pass through any server of ours, so we never receive or store them and cannot read them. The program does not copy them into your notes, send them to an AI tool, share them, sell them, use them for advertising, or use them to train AI models.

Memory Engine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnect Google Calendar and delete your data

To disconnect, open the program's calendar settings and press Disconnect. The program deletes its access token and any calendar data on your computer, and tells Google to revoke the token. You can also remove access from your Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

To delete your notes, delete the Memory Engine folder on your computer. To ask us to delete what we hold about your license, write to the address below.
